We handle every stage of sewer line installation or replacement, from permitting through final backfill, with careful attention to slope, grade, and code compliance. As your septic contractor, we take care of:
1. Permitting
Before your project begins, we handle all necessary permits, including the submission of grading or site plans that show elevation and sewer line slope. We also coordinate sewer tap fees and schedule any required inspections.
2. Trench Excavation
Trenches are excavated to the correct depth and slope based on site-specific grade. Adequate width is maintained to allow for pipe placement and bedding materials.
3. Pipe Installation
We lay the sewer pipe at the proper slope, checking alignment and sealing each joint. Pea stone bedding supports the pipe and helps maintain slope while allowing for drainage.
4. Connections & Cleanouts
We connect the new sewer line to the existing building drain and main sewer tap. Cleanouts are installed at accessible points to allow for future maintenance. All connections are made watertight and inspected as required.
5. Backfill
Once the pipe is in place and inspected, we backfill the trench with pea stone around the pipe for added support and drainage. The remaining trench is filled with compacted soil or other approved material to match existing grade and minimize settling.
